Leica dissection microscope with mechanical stage

This microscope has two lenses so that looking through the oculars we may see in stereo. Each eyepiece has an oblique view of the sample.

The camera will have a better view looking straight down at the sample, not oblique. This involves shifting the microscope body directly over one of the lenses.

The microscope body rides on a track with a locking knob as pictured below.

LEFT: position for stereo (using two eyes).

RIGHT: position for camera.
